Salinas City Elementary School District Sesquicentennial CELEBRATION

Public school education is the cornerstone of our democracy. As Americans (Salinians), we collectively believe that where you start in life should not determine where you end up. For 150 years, Salinas City Elementary School District has served children, regardless of their race, economic status, religion or ability with a free education. As a result, we have positively affected the lives of many generations of our students and families. This incredible milestone is an accomplishment our district is immensely proud of and continuing to build upon.

The community is invited to celebrate our Sesquicentennial “150th Year Celebration” on October 12, 2018 at Sherwood Hall located at 940 North Main Street. This event is free for all to attend and will include a reception from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and program from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.

Our 150th Sesquicentennial celebration was considered a historical event for the City of Salinas and Public Education in Salinas, California. The night was full of historical presentations and student engagement that really captured our rich history over the last 150 years. Take a look on how it went! Click below.
