Salinas City Elementary School District

Logo Title

Educational Services works collaboratively with teachers, support staff, site and District administrators and the community to promote student learning, in line with the Board priorities and the District's 5-3-5 promise: proficiency in math by grade 5, reading at or above grade level by grade 3, and reclassification of English Learners by their fifth year of learning. We are committed to increasing the capacity of parents, teachers, staff and school leaders by providing coaching and professional development opportunities.

Feedback, given in trust, improves teaching and learning.

Educational Services leads Assessments & Accountability, Curriculum & Instruction, Emergent Bilinguals, Early Childhood Education and Migrant Education, and works collaboratively with the Student Services Department, which leads Special Education, Community Schools, the Family Resource Centers, Health Services and Counseling.

We believe that purposeful instruction gives all students access to grade-level content; challenge builds critical-thinking skills; and collaboration builds support and coherence.
