A New and Improved Approach to Attendance Recovery
Beginning in the 2025-2026 school year, the District implemented a new way to help students regain the days—and learning—they have lost due to absence. Attendance recovery is now available in the After School Program to better support students and families.
Here are the two ways a students can regain lost days:
- 10-Week Coding Program
Students enrolled in our After School Program can participate in a 10-week, hands-on coding course held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Each site will offer this exciting opportunity at different times during the year. - 10-Day Academic Pop-Up Sessions
Each site will also offer two 10-day academic pop-up sessions — one focused on English Language Arts, and one on Mathematics. These one-hour, small group sessions are collaborative and hands-on, designed to help students strengthen their understanding of academic topics like literary setting or number sense through fun, interactive learning.
Additional Information:
-
Pop-up sessions are invitation-based for students needing attendance recovery.
-
Families will receive notifications and details through ParentSquare.
-
Each site will offer both opportunities at different times throughout the year — see the schedule below (coming soon) for details!
We’re excited to support your student’s success—one fun and focused session at a time!
