Welcome and thank you for allowing Salinas City Elementary School District (SCESD) the opportunity to provide your children with nutritionally balanced meals.  We wholeheartedly believe that students who eat better learn better!

Salinas City Elementary School District Food Services Department provides meals under the National School Breakfast, National School Lunch, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable, Child and Adult Care Food (Super Snack), and Seamless Summer Programs. Food Services provides students nutritionally sound meals to enhance their ability to learn, serving 12,000 meals daily during the school year, including breakfast, lunch and Super Snacks. Additionally, 22,000 summer meals are served annually, bringing the total to nearly 2 million meals served each year. These meals are provided at 15 sites supported by 70 Food Services professionals.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a complainant should complete a Form AD 3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, which can be obtained online, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
