Salinas City Elementary School District January 21, 2026

Salinas City Elementary School District and Salinas Elementary Teachers’ Council Reach A Tentative Agreement—The District is pleased to announce that on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, the SCESD and SETC negotiations teams successfully completed negotiations and reached a Tentative Agreement to settle the 2025–2026 reopener negotiations. Throughout the process, discussions reflected a spirit of collaboration and mutual respect as the parties worked through key issues.

The Tentative Agreement is subject to ratification by SETC members and approval by the District’s Board of Trustees. Upon ratification and approval, SETC members will receive a 3.0% on-schedule salary increase, retroactive to July 1, 2025. The Tentative Agreement addresses a total of three articles: Article X (Evaluation & Observation Procedures), Article XII (Employee Benefits), and Article XV (Salary). The District’s negotiations team extends its appreciation to the SETC negotiations team for the constructive and professional dialogue shared throughout the negotiation sessions.

El Distrito Escolar Primario de la Ciudad de Salinas y el Consejo de Maestros de la Escuela Primaria de Salinas llegan a un Acuerdo Provisional

El Distrito se complace en anunciar que el martes 20 de enero de 2026, los equipos de negociación de SCESD y SETC concluyeron con éxito las negociaciones y alcanzaron un Acuerdo Provisional para resolver las negociaciones de reapertura para 2025-2026. Durante todo el proceso, las conversaciones reflejaron un espíritu de colaboración y respeto mutuo mientras las partes resolvían los asuntos clave.

El Acuerdo Provisional está sujeto a la ratificación de los miembros del SETC y a la aprobación de la Junta Directiva del Distrito. Tras la ratificación y aprobación, los miembros del SETC recibirán un aumento salarial del 3,0 % según lo previsto, retroactivo al 1 de julio de 2025.

El Acuerdo Tentativo aborda un total de tres artículos: Artículo X (Procedimientos de Evaluación y Observación), Artículo XII (Beneficios a los Empleados) y Artículo XV (Salario).

El equipo de negociaciones del Distrito extiende su agradecimiento al equipo de negociaciones del SETC por el diálogo constructivo y profesional compartido durante las sesiones de negociación.
