Welcome to the Salinas City STEAM Academy!
We are excited to have you and your child join us on this new learning adventure. Our program combines online instruction with frequent in-person activities, including hands-on opportunities in our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) lab. We appreciate your interest and hope our program supports your family’s needs.
How to Apply
Choose the section below that matches your current enrollment status.
1) Student currently enrolled within SCESD
Complete the application and transfer request. You’ll receive a decision within 30 days.
- Complete the SCSA Application:
- Submit an Intradistrict Transfer Request.
- Wait for notification from the District (within 30 days of submitting your application).
2) New Enrollment to SCESD and living within District boundaries
Enroll first through your home school, then submit the application and intradistrict request.
- Complete the 4-step Enrollment Process for your home school.
- Submit the SCSA Application:
- Complete an Intradistrict Transfer Request.
3) Living in Monterey County but outside SCESD boundaries
You will need an interdistrict transfer from your home district first, then apply.
- Contact your home district and request an interdistrict transfer.
- Have the interdistrict form approved by your home district.
- Complete the SCSA Application:
- Wait for District notification regarding your application decision.
- Once approved, enroll with SCESD using the Aeries Online Enrollment Portal.
