State Preschool Enrollment
We are so excited that you selected Salinas City Elementary School District! We are here to help our new SCESD preschool students get enrolled.
This program is funded by the California Department of Education to provide free preschool for children who meet income eligibility and can benefit from a quality learning experience.
Our State Preschool Program offers part day and full day program.
Enrollment Steps
Step 1: Complete Mandatory Forms
Download and print the application. Please print single-sided.
Step 2: Gather Copies of These Important Documents
- Original Birth Certificate
- Updated Immunization Records
- Current Physical Exam
- Address Verification
- Current Income
- Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- Parent Volunteering

Step 3: Email or Turn in Documents
If you would like to drop off the application and documents in person, please schedule an appointment by calling the office at (831)784-5402
Email the Mandatory Forms, Important Documents, and Follow-Up Documents to the State Preschool Office at cspp@salinascityesd.org You will be notified once the documents are received, as well as, next steps once all documents have been reviewed.
