Transitional Kindergarten is an educational opportunity to prepare children for Kindergarten. TK offers children with a developmentally appropriate curriculum taught by credentialed teachers.

Is my child eligible to be in Transitional Kindergarten?
If your child is 4-years-old and turns 5 between Sept. 2 and Dec. 31, 2019.
Which schools offer Transitional Kindergarten?
Transitional Kindergarten will be offered at each of our fourteen school sites contingent upon 24 students registering upon a first come first serve basis and obtaining a fully credentialed teacher.
What are the benefits of Transitional Kindergarten?
Transitional Kindergarten bridges the path between preschool and kindergarten and gives students the time to build a strong foundation for school success. It blends social and emotional experience with academic learning, so students not only learn essential skills, but also develop social and self-regulation skills needed to succeed in school and life.
How is Transitional Kindergarten different from Preschool?
The standards, curriculum and teaching requirements in TK are different than preschool. The TK standards are based on the Kindergarten standards.
How is Transitional Kindergarten different from Kindergarten?
Although the curriculum in TK is based on Kindergarten standards, it is modified to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of younger children.
